Our client is a pre-public growth company, founded in 1996 and run by a team of professionals drawn from some of the Bay Area's most successful semiconductor companies.
The Company develops and markets advanced process control solutions for the semiconductor manufacturing industry. Current products include an advanced, high-speed optical metrology system, targeted at applications including CMP, CVD, etch and lithography.
The Company seeks an experienced VP Marketing to manage all marketing activities. This includes supervision of strategic marketing, product management, and marketing communications. Responsibilities will
include:
- Identify, evaluate and target appropriate market segments for the Company's products.
- Develop profitable strategies to compete in selected markets.
- Develop and drive product management and product launch processes.
- Define and execute communications strategies to support initiatives.
- Communicate values, assign responsibilities, appraise and reward results..
- Forecast functional requirements, prepare annual budget, schedule expenditures, analyze variances and take corrective actions.
- Meet financial objectives.
- Analyze and recommend information for executive decision-making.
- In conjunction with Sales, establish customer service parameters, and help to maintain quality service and operations.
- Implement state-of-the-art practices; share professional knowledge at leading professional and industry symposiums.
- Communicate with key constituencies in the financial, trade and business communities.
- Build the Company's reputation and visibility through ongoing communications including publishing, corporate events and press releases.
The successful VP Marketing candidate will have a BS/BA and 10 years of experience marketing semiconductor capital equipment or related industrial equipment.
MBA is a plus. He or she will have 5+ years of management experience in a technical environment. Proven ability to lead and to work as a member of a team. Excellent presentation and written communications skills.
