Our client develops, markets and supports integrated technology solutions that are central in the manufacture of semiconductors, data storage products and flat panel displays, as well as other mission-critical power applications. We are seeking an Account Executive/Product Sales Specialist to handle OEM account sales in Optical Temperature Measurement instrumentation, addressing applications in RTP, HDP-CVD, PVD, epitaxy, etch and strip.

The Product Sales Specialist will be directly responsible for sales of temperature measurement products to OEM accounts on a national basis.  The Sales Specialist creates interest, conducts evaluations, drives for product acceptance, deals with competitive issues, overcomes objections, demonstrates value, handles commercial issues, and achieves design wins within the broader Company framework. He or she will coordinate with sales personnel handling end-user accounts (wafer fabs), and also with sales personnel handling OEM accounts for other Company businesses (principally power supplies for plasma-based thin-film production equipment).  The successful candidate will be able to quickly learn the applications of the Company's products, and be able to identify customer needs and sales opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifies product and application opportunities within multiple targeted accounts.  Coordinates and follows through on all activities to pursue and attain design wins, increase sales, and establish and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Penetrates all levels of account and builds relationships as necessary to meet product acceptance milestones and fulfill revenue quotas.
  • Produces quotations and books orders for all relevant activity within target accounts.
  • Provides initial level of technical support at account, and arranges for advanced levels of support from Company division, customer service, applications, engineering, marketing, etc.
  • Develops account profiles, including competitive positions and sales volume, sales opportunities, company direction, key decision makers, etc., as pertaining to temperature measurement products at all targeted accounts.
  • Produces and updates account strategies and tactics including sales forecasts.
  • Works closely with Company Marketing and Engineering to ensure rapid response to opportunities and effective solutions to customer issues at accounts.  Acts as a key conduit for application, opportunity, and competitive information derived from the targeted accounts and passed along to all appropriate parties within the Company.
  • Coordinates his/her sales activity and collaborates as a team player with other Company team members, including the Director of OEM Accounts, Field Applications Engineers, other Product Specialists, Product Managers, etc.

This position requires an undergraduate technical degree (BSEE, BSME, BSCE) or equivalent industry experience. The successful candidate will have 5 years of sales and/or customer-intensive support experience in Semiconductor, Magnetic Media and/or the Flat Panel Display industry.  Experience in process control, metrology, vacuum products, or related areas is a plus. The candidate will have proven experience working with large and complex accounts, especially OEMs, either from a sales, marketing or customer support perspective.. Knowledge of the semiconductor capital equipment industry is a must.  He or she should have excellent oral and written communications skills, and the ability and willingness to travel.

Our client is a pre-public growth company, run by a team of professionals drawn from some of the Bay Area's most successful semiconductor companies.  The company develops and markets advanced process control solutions for the semiconductor manufacturing industry. Current products include an advanced, high-speed optical metrology system, targeted at applications including CMP, DVD, etch and lithography.

The Company seeks an experienced National Sales Manager to direct US and European sales development. The Sales Manager will be directly responsible for OEM account sales as well as indirect sales through representatives and distributors. The successful candidate will have prior sales experience in the semiconductor or semiconductor capital equipment markets, and will be able to quickly ascertain product applications and sales opportunities.  Responsibilities will include:

  • Define and execute sales plans targeted at new account opportunities.
  • Secure meetings with account prospects and present product solutions.
  • Coordinate pre- and post-sale account activities.
  • In conjunction with Marketing, establish customer service parameters, and maintain quality service and support.
  • Manage multiple accounts.
  • Meet revenue plans and service commitments.
  • Obtain positive exposure for the Company and its products through representation at major trade shows and other industry events.

This position requires an undergraduate technical degree or equivalent, and 5+ years of experience selling products/equipment in the semiconductor or semiconductor capital equipment market. Experience in process control or metrology is a plus.  The candidate will have exceptional account management and interpersonal skills, and a track record of quota overachievement.  He or she should have excellent oral and written communications skills, and a willingness to travel.

Intel Account Manager -- Job #H102

Our client is a world leader in the development of advanced semiconductor manufacturing technologies and equipment, with industry-leading products in plasma etch, SIMOX implantation, gas abatement and wafer inspection.  The Company provides plasma etchers and related products and services to Intel Corporation, the world's #1 chip maker.  The Intel Account Manager will be responsible for supporting the Intel installed base and seeking new opportunities for expansion on a global basis.  Responsibilities:

  • Sell etch systems and related semiconductor manufacturing equipment and services to the Intel installed base.
  • Drawing from successes in the installed base, define and execute sales plans targeted at new Intel opportunities.
  • Responsible for sales forecasts and timely management reporting
  • Secure meetings and present products to account prospects.
  • Coordinate pre- and post-sales account activities including equipment evaluation, purchasing, installation, maintenance and financing.

This position requires a technical undergraduate degree or comparable work experience, and 5-10 years of sales/sales management in the semiconductor or semiconductor capital equipment industry.  An MBA is a plus.  The successful candidate will also possess:

  • Proven self-management skills with a "take charge" approach
  • Demonstrated success in key account sales
    • Intel account experience is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated success in account management
  • Proven track record in delivering on revenue commitments
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills

Our client develops, markets and supports integrated technology solutions that are central in the manufacture of semiconductors, data storage products and flat panel displays, as well as other mission-critical power applications. Over the past several years, the Company has successfully diversified through acquisition and augmented growth with products that complement its core business, including hardware and software productivity and connectivity solutions and subsystems. The Company is seeking an experienced OEM Sales Development Manger to increase revenues for these products within the OEM installed base, and to penetrate and develop business relationships at new OEM accounts.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop an overall business plan to expand new product sales efforts into OEM accounts.
  • Manage team of 3 or more Product Sales Specialists, coordinating their activities, growing their skills and maximizing the results of their efforts.
    • This includes hire, fire, and review responsibilities, and the administration of the Company compensation program including salary, performance objectives and associated bonuses.
  • Identify and profile OEM target accounts.  Develop account profiles, including competitive positions, sales volume, opportunities, trends, direction, and organization charts.
    • Provide forecasts of product and revenue by months and by year.
    • At those accounts, prospect, qualify, understand needs, build relationships and promote Company solutions. Open the door for product sales by Product Sales Specialists.
  • Act as the direct Account Manager or Sales Channel Manager (where the use of Manufacturer's Reps is appropriate) for accounts that become customers.  Handle and grow the commercial and technical relationship. Quote and book orders, and support customer by arranging for technical support of Company products.
  • Create a common front end to the selling processes of the Product Specialists. Develop sales strategies and tactics.  Set expectations and professional standards to ensure that proper communication, coordination, and collaboration occur with account managers and business units.  
  • Submit and update business development plans to expand Company activities, justifying further resources and personnel by achieving strategic objectives and consistently demonstrating sufficient financial returns.  

The successful OEM Sales Development Manager will have 5-10 years of sales experience in the semiconductor capital equipment industry including 3-5 years of sales management.  Preferred experience includes advanced process control and e-diagnostics, as well as experience in non-plasma areas such as metrology, CMP, lithography, wet processing and robotics.

The successful candidate will have the capacity to perform as strong individual contributor and also as team leader, builder, and member. He or she will have a high comfort factor with complex software-intensive products and sales, especially software designed for manufacturing environments and tool control systems.  Candidates must have excellent oral and written communications skills, as well as strong presentaton and organizational skills with excellent follow-up habits. 

Bachelor of Science preferred – Electronics, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience, with business courses as well. The successful candidate should also be proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
